Goals
To share information about hostas and gardens.
To share gardens and plants with other members and the public.
To provide members opportunities to see gardens and meet gardeners out of the local area.
To provide members access to new hosta varieties.
To offer members the opportunity to socialize, share ideas, talents and work together to achieve shared goals.
To promote the popularity of the Genus Hosta to the general public.
To act as a source of scientific knowledge regarding hostas, hosta growing, and hybridization of hostas.

Chit Chats
The Green & Gold Hosta Society of Northeastern Wisconsin, sponsors three Chit Chats in the summer - June, July and August.
The Chit Chats are a great way for Green & Gold members to gather together to tour a fellow member's garden and visit during the busy summer months.
The first Chit Chat in June is also the Green & Gold's first plant sale of the year. Numerous varieties of hostas will be offered for sale, from older to newer, mini to large.
All are welcome to join us and enjoy some great gardens and forge new friendships.
Plant Sales
The Green & Gold has plant sales a year to raise funds for the society.
Spring Sale details to be determined.
At the June Chit Chat, everyone is welcome to browse a large selection of hostas for sale. Come, enjoy chatting with the members and finding that 'most have' hosta to add to your collection.
In the fall, a joint plant sale is held with the Bay Area Daylily Buds (aka BAD Buds). The sale is open to the public and again features a large selection of hostas. Larry's Bellevue Gardens is the gracious host for this sale.
Bus Trip
Mid-summer, the Green & Gold, sponsors a day bus trip. Trips usually include a few private gardens, an opportunity to purchase plants, lunch and a stop for ice cream on the way home. Costs for the bus trip varies and members pay a special members price. Others are welcome and pay the non-members price.
